Amy Zuidema MSN, NP-C has been affiliated with Hospice of Holland since 2006. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and a member of the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners (MICNP).

Amy has more than 16 years of experience in a variety of areas including oncology, pediatrics, medical-surgical, school travel nursing, geriatrics, hospice and palliative care. Most recently, Amy spent eight years working at the Hospice House of Holland before transitioning to work as a nurse practitioner specializing in hospice and palliative care. Her current role allows her to visit patients at home, in community facilities and hospitals to provide support and customized medical care based on the unique needs of each patient. She aims to provide expertise with a kind-hearted bedside manner to help patients better understand their disease and have improved symptom control. Her top areas of focus include ALS, dementia, respiratory disorders and oncology.

Outside of the office, Amy enjoys photography, reading, being outdoors, and spending time with loved ones.

Education

Amy received undergraduate degrees from both Hope College and Grand Valley State University. She graduated with honors from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., earning a Master of Science in Nursing within their Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program. She completed her FNP clinical rotations in West Michigan.
