bringing care to you
at home
Home is the first place we turn, when we need to rest, to be reassured, or to be comforted by those we love. For many people nearing the end of a terminal illness, home is where they most want to be. Loved ones may attempt to make this possible by providing end-of-life care themselves, but the strain can prove overwhelming. Hospice of Holland helps by bringing physical, emotional and spiritual care directly to their homes. We arrange for everything they need, including the necessary instruction and support. Allowing us to share these responsibilities gives families more freedom to savor the precious time they have together.
in an area care facility or hospital
The same hospice care we provide at home is also available for those who reside in many area hospitals or care facilities. Patients in an acute-care situation with symptoms that cannot be managed at home may receive hospice care in our hospice house or in a hospital setting. For others in the final stages of an advanced illness, the best option may be an assisted living facility or nursing home. We’ll arrange for the medications, equipment and supplies related to the illness, while providing caregivers and patients with the instruction and support they need. Working in cooperation with caregivers, our hospice care teams use their expertise to provide patients and families with the highest quality physical, emotional and spiritual end-of-life care, wherever the patient calls home.
